Privacy Policy
In short: Hushwave does not collect, store on any server, sell or share any personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Who we are
Hushwave: Tinnitus Relief ("Hushwave", "the app", "we") is developed and published by Hushwave, an independent developer. If you have any question about this policy or your privacy, contact us at hushwave.app@gmail.com.
Data we collect
None. The developer does not collect, receive, store or process any personal or usage data from the app. We have no servers that the app talks to, and we cannot see who uses the app or how.
Data stored on your device
To work, the app saves a small amount of information locally, in the app's private storage on your phone:
- your settings and sound mix preferences (for example volumes and sleep timer);
- the result of your tinnitus pitch and loudness match, and relief test timings;
- your weekly check-in scores (loudness, bother and sleep impact);
- which lessons of the 8-week program you have read;
- a cached flag that says whether Premium is active, so the app works offline.
This information never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data in your device settings. Because we never receive it, we cannot access, recover or delete it for you; you are always in control of it.
Purchases
Hushwave is free to download. Premium is offered as a yearly subscription (with a free trial) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. All payments are processed by Google Play, under the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service. We never see your name, email address or payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether a purchase is active and remembers the result locally. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions.
Advertising, analytics and third parties
- No advertising and no advertising ID.
- No analytics, crash reporting, tracking or profiling.
- No third-party SDKs other than two Google Play libraries: Google Play Billing (to process purchases) and Google Play In-App Review (to let you rate the app without leaving it). These are provided by Google and covered by Google's privacy policy.
- We do not sell, rent or share any data, because we do not have any.
Permissions

The app does not request access to your location, microphone, camera, contacts, photos, files or health data.
Children
Hushwave is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children, and the app collects no personal information from anyone.
Health information
Hushwave is a wellness and relaxation app, not a medical device, and does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition. Your pitch match and check-in scores are for your own reference only and stay on your device.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf. You can remove all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or using "Clear storage" in your device's app settings. If you have questions, email us and we will be happy to help.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
